Community Meeting

Environmental Impact Report (EIR)

The draft Environmental Impact Report for the Project was released Wednesday, June 9, 2021, and a 60-day public comment period occurred.

The project’s EIR Scoping Meeting was held virtually on April 2, 2020, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm via GoToMeeting. Members of the public were able to attend the meeting virtually to learn more about the project’s EIR process. The public comment period closed on May 2, 2020. 

 

The Governor’s recent Executive Orders N-25-20 and N-33-20 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic allow for a temporary change to the rules related to the Brown Act, including permitting local and state legislative bodies to hold meetings via conference calls while still meeting state transparency requirements, and direct individuals to stay at home except as needed to perform critical infrastructure functions. Contact Stephanie Hansen at (831) 454-2580 or by email with questions.

Neighborhood Traffic Meeting

With County Supervisor John Leopold, we held a community meeting focused on traffic concerns in related to the proposed project and nearby neighborhoods. The meeting was held Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, at the Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Office Community Room. We appreciate everyone who came out to share their thoughts.

Thank you to everyone who came out for our first community meeting, held Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2018, at Simpkins Family Swim Center in Live Oak. More than 80 people, many of them neighbors immediately adjacent to the proposed project, took part in the open house-style event. We appreciate your comments and are taking your feedback into account.
